When families come to me for a photo session, I know they are not just coming for photos. They want to walk away with positive feelings and knowing that they built memories together in the half hour or hour that I spend with them. I have to work really quickly to help them feel comfortable with me and each other.
I had my own photo session recently for my engagement photos and even though I’ve professionally been photographing for almost 9 years, it was intimidating! You become very vulnerable when you are being photographed and it’s important that your photo clients feel comfortable and relaxed.
Photographers, I think what helps with this are 5 important keys:
- Confidence
- Connection
- Genuinely loving people
- Directing
- Common ground
The joy and genuine love that came from this family was evident and you could tell them deeply care about each other and I invite you to take a peek into their photo session together.
